Precise cutting without blade contact

As you push, the hardened steel cutting cylinder with non-stick coating rotates past the fixed, ground lower blade. The cutting cylinder and lower blade do not touch. Grass blades are lifted and cut in a way similar to scissors. Since the blades do not touch, friction remains low. This keeps operation quiet and makes the mower easy to push.

Four adjustable cutting heights

You can set the cutting height to 12, 22, 32, or 42 millimeters. The setting is visible on both sides; always set both height adjusters to the same position for an even cutting pattern. After a longer break between mowing sessions, Gardena recommends mowing first at 42 millimeters and then crosswise at the preferred height. For the best result, mow dry grass that is no longer than 12 centimeters.

Good grip and compact storage

The two large wheels with special tread provide grip and make steering easier. The mower weighs 8.9 kilograms, and its handle folds down. This reduces the storage space required and makes transport easier.

Use and maintenance

Remove stones, branches, and other hard objects from the lawn before mowing. Clean the mower after use with a brush and cloth; do not use running water or a pressure washer. Lightly oil the cutting cylinder and lower blade with thin oil, and store the mower in a dry place.
