The Faran HR-DHTC is a digital humidistat and thermostat for measuring and controlling relative humidity and temperature. It has two separate outputs: one for humidity control and one for temperature control. This allows one humidity function and one temperature function to be controlled simultaneously.
The function of each output is determined by the selected operating mode. The humidity output can be configured for humidifying or dehumidifying. The temperature output can be configured for heating or cooling.
The following combinations can be used simultaneously:
Humidifying and dehumidifying cannot be controlled simultaneously because both functions use the same humidity output. Likewise, heating and cooling cannot operate simultaneously because they use the same temperature output.
The switching differential can be configured separately for temperature and humidity control. It determines how far the measured value must deviate from the selected setting before the corresponding output switches.
The HR-DHTC also has an adjustable output delay of 0 to 999 seconds. This can prevent connected equipment from restarting too quickly in response to small or short-term changes in the measured value.
Please note: each output can switch a maximum of 2.2 amps. Do not connect an appliance drawing a higher current directly to the controller. Use a suitable external contactor for appliances with a higher load or high inrush current, such as motors and compressors. Always check the current rating on the appliance rating plate.
