Garland Soil pH Test Kit (15 Tests) – Garden Soil pH Testing Kit

The Garland Soil pH Test Kit allows you to easily measure the acidity or alkalinity of your soil to create optimal growing conditions. Plants require the correct soil pH level for proper nutrient absorption, and each plant has its own preferred pH range.

Testing your soil regularly is recommended throughout the growing season. It is particularly useful before spring planting and when preparing garden beds in autumn. If your plants show signs of poor growth, a soil test can help identify potential issues.

Features

  • Simple and effective pH test for garden soil
  • Helps create optimal growing conditions
  • Suitable for vegetable gardens, flower beds, and potted plants
  • Includes colour chart with recommended pH levels for various plants
  • Instruction sheet included
  • Contains enough materials for 15 soil tests

Instructions

  1. Take a dry soil sample at room temperature (approximately 19°C).
  2. Place a small amount of soil in the test tube.
  3. Add the testing solution and barium sulphate.
  4. Close the tube and shake thoroughly.
  5. Allow the soil to settle and observe the colour development.
  6. Compare the colour with the pH chart on the packaging.

Knowing your soil’s pH level helps you select plants suited to your soil conditions, avoid incompatible plants, or adjust the soil to meet specific growing requirements.

FAQ

The colour of my liquid is not shown on the colour chart, what went wrong?
There may be two reasons: the soil used is too cold or the test needs more time to develop. Perform the test with soil at room temperature (around 19°C) or leave the test for up to 24 hours and check the colour again. If the issue persists, repeat the test and ensure the measurements are correct.
