WOLF-Garten U-RS Universal Lawn is best as a play lawn and for sports fields. It is highly resistant to heavy duty and is easy to maintain. WOLF-Garten Universal Lawn germinates quickly, grows on almost any soil and forms a resilient and dense lawn after a few weeks. It develops strong roots, which can withstand even the strongest exposure to children and pets. The selected high-quality grass varieties ensure less mow waste because they do not grow so quickly. The ideal, hardwearing lawn to play on and be active.

APPLICATION

Soil
After spade-deep digging or milling and leveling, the soil needs about a week to recover. In the meantime, remove the germinated weeds before sowing. The soil must then be finely crumbled (eg with the WOLF-Garten Multi-Star DA-S Cultivator).

Sowing
Sow your new lawn late April / early May and late September. Then the soil has the right temperature for germination of grass seed.

Advice
Sprinkle WOLF-Garten Lawn Fertilization START immediately before or after sowing. With this you achieve a significantly quicker and secure closure of the grass cuttings, so that you can quickly use the new lawn again.

Use a spreader for optimal distribution of the grass seed and starter lawn fertilizer. Make sure that the wheel tracks of the spreader are overlapping.

Raking
Now rake your grass seed and starter fertilizer very shallow (no deeper than 0.5 cm) in the ground. Labor-saving help is eg the WOLF-Garten Multi-Star Rake.
Note: Do not roll so that the soil is not compacted or clogs up in the rain.

Irrigation is crucial
It is important to keep the soil sufficiently moist, especially in the first 3 weeks after sowing. The soil surface should not dry out, because it would dry up the sensitive grass germ. Therefore, irrigate several times a day during drought, i.e. up to 5 times for 10 minutes.

First time mowing
Mow your lawn for the first time if it is 8-10 cm long, average length not less than 5 cm.
