The kit includes two ready-to-use test tubes. The packaging also features a helpful chart with the optimal pH levels for a number of common plants, making it easy to determine whether your soil is suitable for your crops.

Instructions

1. Take a soil sample from approximately 4 inches (10 cm) below the surface.
2. Carefully remove the cap from the test tube without spilling the powder.
3. Add soil to the first mark on the tube.
4. Add water up to the fourth mark (preferably boiled and cooled water).
5. Replace the cap and shake thoroughly.
6. Allow the soil to settle.
7. Compare the color of the liquid with the chart on the packaging.
